The Color Run Tropicolor World Tour 2016 marks the fifth anniversary of The Color Run. Get ready to celebrate with more fun, more sun, and even more colors for you and your friends to experience together.

Participants will experience an all-new Tropicolor Zone™ on course, where they will be bathed in a tropical array of colors and delicious island scents as they pass through the shade of palm trees, arches, and island-style music.

At the Finish Festival, Color Runners will enjoy even more fun at Rainbow Beach, an interactive island featuring music, dancing, unique photo opportunities, and massive color throws.

Each Color Runner will also receive:

A limited-edition Tropicolor race shirt
Finisher’s medal on a floral-printed ribbon
Embroidered headband
And fun temporary tattoos.

American post-rock band Tortoise extend their European trek in support of latest album “The Catastrophist”. Tortoise have added more European tour dates over the coming months. The American post-rock band announced their spring trek in April in support of latest album The Catastrophist – with further dates planned through the year.

The band also announced that they’ve rescheduled their London headline show from the Electric Ballroom on July 7 to London’s Dome at Tufnell Park on November 15. Cambridge Rock Festival

Cambridge Rock Festival have announced Colour Of Noise, Atomic Rooster and Deep Purple’s Don Airey and friends as final additions to the lineup from August 3-7.

Carl Palmer’s ELP Experience, Focus and Curved Air were named as headliners for the event at Haggis Farm Polo Club earlier this year – with Hekz, Purson, The Mentulis, Cregan & Co, Hazel O’Connor, Walkway, Yossarrian, Malayan Blue, Doris Brendel and Derecho to perform over the weekend.

Festival organisers said: “With classic rock, blues, progressive rock and metal, all stages are covered. The festival has some great food stalls – and it’s renowned for its 70 real ales, ciders, wines and lager.”

The latest additions include classic rock band Colour Of Noise, led by former Little Angels guitarist Bruce Dickinson and Furyon’s singer Matt Mitchell. They will replace The Pink Fairies – who have been forced to pull out due to illness.

The Woodstock Music And Art Fair

The Woodstock Music and Art Fair, the most famous of the 1960s rock festivals, held on a farm property in Bethel, New York, August 15–18, 1969.

The Woodstock Music and Art Fair was organized by four inexperienced promoters who nonetheless signed a who’s who of current rock acts, including Jimi Hendrix, Sly and the Family Stone, the Who, the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, the Jefferson Airplane, Ravi Shankar, and Country Joe and the Fish.

The legend of Woodstock’s “Three Days of Peace and Music”, as its advertising promised, became enshrined in American history, at least partly because few of the festivals that followed were as star-studded or enjoyable.

A 1994 festival on the same site was better organized and more successful financially, if less legendary. In 1999 a third festival was marred by a small riot. The Museum at Bethel Woods, a multimedia exhibit space attached to a performing arts centre, opened in 2008, with the stated mission of preserving the original festival site and educating visitors about the music and culture of the Woodstock era.
